Take A Vet Fishing (TAVF)

TAVF is a unique event where veterans and service members are invited to spend a day fishing with experienced guides. These one-day outings foster camaraderie, provide an opportunity to unwind, and encourage personal healing through fly fishing.

1-Day Fishing Trips

These trips are shorter, single-day outings where participants practice and refine their fly fishing skills in a supportive environment. Volunteers focus on safety and ensuring a fun, educational experience for all participants.

Multi-Day Fishing Trips

These extended trips allow participants to immerse themselves in the healing environment of nature. Over multiple days, participants bond with their peers, enhance their fly fishing skills, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of time spent on the water.

Education Events

Education events offer hands-on instruction in various aspects of fly fishing. Participants can build their own gear (rods and nets), learn the intricacies of fly tying, improve casting techniques, and explore the science of entomology to better understand what trout are feeding on.
